Stephen Graham and Andrea Riseborough are creepily excellent
in this absurdist, razor-sharp psychological thriller. Jan Komasa’s bracingly
wicked tale follows a couple who plan to retrain a delinquent teen with a
brutal regime.
Dysfunctional couple Chris and Kathryn kidnap out of control
19-year-old criminal Tommy, a volatile 19-year-old who revels in drugs, parties
and violence, chaining him up in the cellar of their remote country house and
forcing him into a rehabilitation process to try to turn him into a 'good boy'.
Tommy must find a way to escape, but can he?
Part nightmare, part black comedy and part family drama ,
this is at times absurd, creepy but also funny.
