PRIVATE RENTAL/VENUE HIRE
Private hire is a great way to celebrate a birthday or other special occasion, or to get a group of friends together to watch a film of your choice.
Private hire at the Alhambra costs a minimum of £250, plus the fee to licence the film you choose - generally free for current features or recent films we still have on our server, but up to £150 for archive features we have to licence just for you.
For under 16s/children's parties the price includes a bag of popcorn for each child
Screen 2
This is our newer and smaller, studio screen. There are 28 seats plus space for one wheelchair.

Screen 1 : Balcony or Stalls Only
Our original Edwardian screen with balcony above and stalls below. You can hire either area for exclusive use but to keep the costs of your hire low we will sell tickets for the film of your choice to the public in the stalls below to cover any licence fee. The balcony has 68 seats and no wheelchair access.
Minimum charge £250
Screen 1 : Full auditorium
For a larger event you can hire all of Screen 1, with a total capacity of 157 seats plus two wheelchair spaces in the stalls, including space for tables for catering at the front of the auditorium.

Film Licence Costs
The cost of licensing a film depends on which film you choose: we will get a quote from the licencing agency (Park Circus) and let you know the charge, so that you can decide. If you hire just part of Screen 1 we may be able to cover the cost of the licence by selling tickets to the public in the other seating area.
How to Book
Please give us at least 3 weeks notice as we will otherwise have probably planned the film programme already and so won't have availability.
