To celebrate its 48 and a half years since its original theatrical release, Monty Python and The
Holy Grail will be hitting the big screen once again - at the Keswick Alhambra on Monday 26th and Wednesday 28th
February, 2024.
Written and performed by Monty Python (Graham Chapman, John Cleese, Terry Gilliam, Eric
Idle, Terry Jones, and Michael Palin) and directed by Gilliam and Jones in their feature
directorial debuts. The film parodies the legend of King Arthur’s quest for the Holy Grail.
King Arthur (Chapman) and his Knights of the Round Table embark on a surreal, low-budget
search for the Holy Grail, encountering many, very silly obstacles along the way - from the
Black Knight and the Knights of Say “Ni!” to French Taunters and a Killer Rabbit.
On Monday we present the film in all its original glory and on Wednesday, the new "quotealong" edition. IS that just a flesh wound? WAS your mother a hamster? DID your father smell of elderberries?
