Wheelchair and Ambulant Access

The cinema has step-free entrance from the pavement into the cinema kiosk and lobby.

From there there is full access to the stalls seats in Screen 1, into Screen 2 and to the ground-floor disabled and ambulant-disabled toilet facilities.

In the stalls of Screen 1 there are two wheelchair spaces, one of which is also accessible by a mobility scooter and in Screen 2 there is one wheelchair space.

The balcony of Screen 1 can only be accessed by stairs. There are 26 wide, solid steps with handrails on both sides, but there is no lift to the balcony seats or to the upstairs toilets.

Take a Virtual Tour of the cinema to get a full feel of the place.

Parking

There are double yellow lines outside the cinema, but passengers can be dropped off and picked up immediately outside the cinema doors.

There is a disc-parking bay and single yellow line parking 50 metres away from the cinema on Church Street both of which can be used by Blue Badge holders at any time of day and throughout the year.

Dogs

Assistance dogs are welcome when accompanying their owners in either of our screens. There is much more space in our main auditorium, Screen 1, so we'd recommend you choose a film screening in Screen 1 rather than Screen 2.

All dogs are welcome visitors in the foyer and kiosk area, but we don't currently allow pet dogs inside the screens.

CEA Discounts

We participate in the national Cinema Exhibitors Association (CEA) scheme which enables disabled cinema guest to receive a complimentary ticket for a companion to facilitate their visit to the cinema. Visit the CEA website to find out more. You can use your CEA number on our website to book your free companion ticketwhen booking a Standard ticket for yourself.

Audio Assistance

We have audio headphones as well as individual loops that you tune your hearing aid into. They are available on loan from the kiosk and can be used for amplified audio, audio description, or both. Most major films include this facility, but regrettably they do not work for live, satellite-streamed events. Please just ask the staff at the cinema kiosk if you would like to use one.

Subtitles

As well a selection of subtitled screenings we are also one of the few cinemas in the UK that has invested in Watchword glasses which can show you the subtitles even for films that don't have them visible on screen. They work for most, but not all, films and you can check availability of them when booking your seat.
