Running alongside the MINT Chinese Film Festival, enjoy a whole series of free complementary events to celebrate Chinese New Year and all things Chinese and Asian.
Our Asian Arts, Craft & Food Market runs in Keswick Market Square from 10am to 3pm: browse and buy arts and crafts, play some games, enjoy some snacks and delectable Asian food (we define Asian very broadly here: we've got Indian, Korean, Chinese and Japanese food represented!)
OTHER FREE ACTIVITIES GOING ON FOR CHINESE NEW YEAR IN KESWICK:
At 11.30am and 12.30pm on Sunday 23rd you'll be able to see an amazing Lion Dance in the market square, c/o the Lancaster-based Northern Dragons Lion Dance team, sponsored by the Lancaster Confucius Institute.
At 2pm you can enjoy a Chinese music performance, at the Methodist Church Hall on Southey Street CA12 4HH, and at
3pm you can join in a Chinese tai-chi demonstration, also at the Methodist Church Hall Southey Street CA12 4HH (just head from the market square along Station Street, less than 3 mins walk)
Wednesday 19 Feb at 11am & 1.30pm you can book a Chinese crafting session at Keswick Museum.
Saturday 22 Feb you can just drop into a Chinese crafting sesion c/o the Lancaster Confucius Institute, 11-12.30pm & 1.30-3pm.
