In a bustling Mexican household, seven-year-old Sol is swept up in a whirlwind of preparations for the birthday party for her father, Tona, led by her mother, aunts, and other relatives. Keswick Film Club are screening this feature (screened at Rheged as part of the Film Festival last month) as a thank-you for volunteers and film club members who helped out at the Festival: it was voted one of the best films at the festival, but missed by those who couldn't make it to Penrith to see it. So while the screening itself is public and open to all, it will be preceeded by an invite-only drinks & nibbles and thank you event.
