An Unfinished Film UK Premiere Special Screening
Synopsis: January 2020. A film crew reunites near Wuhan to resume the shooting of a film halted ten years earlier, only to share unexpected challenges as cities are placed under lockdown due to the covid pandemic.
An 'ode to film-making', Lou Ye’s film also documents the experience of the pandemic in China. Audiences of different nationalities and from different walks of life will feel memories resonate as they relate to the pain, suffering, and anxiety, as well as the warmth, healing, and fun depicted in this film. The viewer's experience will become a journey of differences and commonalities, sorting and reviewing personal memories of the pandemic; a journey where memories of the director, the curator, and the audience collide, exchange, and fuse (MINT curators Yixiang Lin and Wenqi Zhang).
