Chinatown Cha-Cha Opening Gala·European Premiere Feature Film Competition: C-Films in Focus

The opening gala screening begins at 16:00 with a drinks reception. The screening is followed by a Q&A with the film director Luka Yuanyuan Yang and a Swing Dance show performed by the London Chinese Kirin Swing Club.

(Tickets for the gala screening are £12.50, and include a free drink - all free for passholders! The repeat screening 1.30pm Sat 22nd costs the standard £10 for an individual ticket).

Synopsis: 92-year-old Coby Yee, a nightclub dancer in her youth, decides to get back on stage again after joining the senior dance troupe Grant Avenue Follies. Together with her friends who were part of the golden age of San Francisco Chinatown, they go on a tour for the last time, bridging once-isolated Chinese communities in the US, Cuba and China.
